Frequently asked questions
How much does a website cost in Ghana?
In 2026 a simple one-page site costs about GHS 1,800 to 3,000, a standard business website GHS 3,500 to 9,000, and an online store GHS 6,000 to 18,000. Large custom platforms cost more. Prices depend on the number of pages, features such as payments or bookings, and whether you supply the text and photos. Domain registration (about GHS 150 to 500 a year) and hosting (about GHS 400 to 1,500 a year) are extra. Aoenix gives a fixed written quote within 24 hours.
How long does it take to build a website?
A one-page site takes about a week. A standard business website takes two to three weeks. An online store takes three to five weeks. The biggest delay on most projects is waiting for text, photos and logo files, so we help you gather those at the start.
Can I update the website myself after launch?
Yes. Every Aoenix website comes with a training session and a written guide. You can change text, swap photos, add news posts and update prices without any coding. If you would rather not, a care plan from GHS 250 a month covers updates for you.
Do you build online stores that accept Mobile Money?
Yes. We set up checkout with MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, AT Money and Visa or Mastercard through Paystack or Hubtel. Both are licensed by the Bank of Ghana and pay out to your Ghanaian bank account or MoMo wallet.
Do I need a .com.gh or .gh domain?
Not necessarily. A .com domain is cheaper and works everywhere. A .com.gh domain signals that you are a Ghanaian business and can help slightly for local searches, but it costs more and requires business registration documents. We will advise on the best option for you and can register either.
Will my website show up on Google?
Every site we build includes the technical basics Google needs: fast loading, mobile layout, proper titles and descriptions, a sitemap and Search Console setup. That gets you indexed. Ranking at the top for competitive searches takes time, reviews and regular content. We explain honestly what to expect and can help with a plan.
Do you work with clients outside Accra?
Yes. We work with clients in Accra, Kumasi, Koforidua, Sunyani and Takoradi and across Ghana, as well as Ghanaian businesses abroad. Most of the work happens over WhatsApp, email and video calls, and we can visit in person where needed.
What do you need from me to start?
Your logo (or we can arrange one), the text or notes for each page, photos, and your contact details. If you have an existing site, we also need your domain login. We send a simple checklist after the first conversation.
